One Tree Per Child Program – City of Onkaparinga

Galilee was fortunate to be a part of the One Tree Per Child program run by the City of Onkaparinga. We were gifted nearly 40 trees to re-establish our Sheoak forest and wetlands.

The Youth Environment Group, Year 9 Passionate Permaculture students and Year 2 students participated in the day. These trees will provide vital food and habitat to the yellow-tailed black cockatoos as well as other birds and animals who are indigenous to the area.

A big thank you to all the students who were involved as well as Councillor – South Coast ward Lauren Jew, Jeremy Gramp from Green Adelaide, Michael from Maintenance/Grounds, Courtney and Andy.
