Counselling Team
Cardijn College employs a team of Counsellors across the three campuses who work with students from all year levels. At Marian, there are five qualified professionals who deliver a voluntary service for enrolled students.
The Student Counsellors apply their expertise to support students to achieve academic success, psychological health, and social and emotional wellbeing. To achieve these outcomes, the activities that the Student Counsellors engage in are diverse and can include counselling, consultation with services, collaboration with family and support networks, implementation of prevention and intervention programs, and guidance through external referral processes.
The Student Counsellors cannot provide any diagnosis, nor can they be providing ongoing comprehensive psychological intervention. However, Student Counsellors may provide information about other services, supports as well as psychoeducation to the student population, school staff, and parents/carers.
If you are seeking support for a student, please refer to our counselling referral form as well as reach out to the students Home Room and House Leader.
